What we know about you. It is not much.

Local 10s is a dating travel map. Most of it works without an account and without telling us anything. Here is the full picture, in plain words.

Accounts

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. If you create an account with Google or email, Clerk stores your name, email address, and profile photo. We use that to show who wrote what. We do not see or store your password.

Things you post

Notes and spot suggestions are public. They are stored with your account name and shown to everyone. Do not post anything you would not say out loud in a plaza. “I’d go” votes are anonymous — we count them, we do not know they were yours.

The Explore quiz

Your quiz answers stay in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to a server. Clear your browser data and they are gone.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. They are cookieless. They count page views and load times, not people. No advertising trackers, no cross-site anything.

The map

Map tiles load from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. Like any server you request something from, theirs see your IP address when the tiles load. That is how the internet works; we do not receive it.

Legal basis

If you are in the EU: we process account data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and analytics on legitimate interest in keeping the site working. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting your stuff

Email hello@local10s.com to delete your account. We remove your account data and the notes and suggestions tied to it. Same address if you want a specific note taken down, yours or someone else’s.

Local 10s is for adults. If you are under 18, do not use the site, and do not make an account. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
